Use a fully modeled M16×2, class 6g, right-hand ISO metric external thread for the part of an accessory that screws into the headset. In CAD, the headset’s node insert uses the mating internal geometry — the negative of this external thread profile.

For 3D-printed parts, account for your printer and material tolerances so the accessory turns freely without excessive play.
